AIR OPTIX CONTACT LENSES
Air Optix are a family of contact lenses from Alcon that are available as single vision, astigmatism, Night & Day, and multi-focal.
All contacts in the Air Optix family are 30 day contact lenses, meaning you are required to throw the lenses away after 30 days not just 30 uses.
Air Optix Aqua
This single vision monthly lens was the first in it's family and was designed to replace the O2 Optix lens. The Air Optix Aqua lens has been a strong go-to lens for many optometrists over the years because of it's comfort and aspheric optical design.
Although most 30 day lenses are being replaced by the more popular 1-Day or Dailies contact lenses, the Air Optix Aqua contact lenses have provided contact lens wearers with a great standard for years.
Air Optix Colors
With the quality and comfort of Air Optix Aqua and the flare and technology of Freshlook, Alcon releases Air Optix Colors in 2014.
Air Optix Colors offer the same great colors as the Freshlook line in a more modern and healthier lens.
Air Optix Aqua for Astigmatism
Astigmatism or toric contact lenses were just O.K. before theAir Optix Aqua for Astigmatism was released. With the comfort of the Air Optix Aqua, the Astigmatism introduced toric contact lens wearers to a much more stabilized vision.
This was possible because of the Precision Balance 8|4 lens design that was unlike any other astigmatism lens on the market.
In 2014 Alcon released the Astigmatism version of the Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus which introduces this stable vision in a healthy 1-day contact lens.
Air Optix Aqua Multifocal
The Air Optix Aqua Multifocal was truly the first soft contact lens that provided uncompromising vision at distance, mid-range, and near.
This groundbreaking design was so successful that Alcon introduced the same multifocal design in the Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus in 2014.
Air Optix Night & Day Aqua
The Night & Day contact lens was one of the first silicone hydrogel lenses on the market. Although the Night & Day is the eldest lens in the family it still provides fantastic oxygen to the eye.
